Episode 6 No Man's Land

We had no choice but to continue North from North Vancouver Island otherwise it meant a lot of back - tracking. We knew there was a small scene in mid-central B.C. largely undiscovered so how do we get there...
B.C. Ferries hooked us up with a free passage on their Inside Passage sailing which took us directly to Prince Rupert. Is there riding in Prince Rupert? That's the same thing we were wondering. The ferry trip was very cool. It was more like a cheap cruise. All of the meals were all-you-can-eat which made Cam VERY happy. He astounded the entire ship with his eating abilities. There were whales, Bald Eagles and a lot of tree's next to water, the trip took almost 18 hours which got a bit much for a group of high energy guys. There was one cute girl on the boat who got a LOT of attention. The antics ensued once the 13th hour had passed and the scenery wasn't cutting it anymore. The crew of the ship spent the entire time trying to keep their eye on the riders and by the time we landed in Prince Rupert we had completely worn out our welcome. To add insult to injury due to all the boredom some of the guys snuck down to the bus and played video games and watched movies which completely drained the bus' batteries and trapped 95% of the passengers on the ship. We almost had a mob scene on our hands and I was going to make the first strike as everyone always yells at "the guy in charge". We managed to escape the mob and I slowly forgave (but didn't forget) the rider who caused me the embarrassment. We pulled onto land again and then the next hurdle faced me... Where do we get a campsite? The ferry was full of cars and there couldn't be that many places to stay in sleepy Prince Rupert. We pulled into the first place we saw and what do you know the guy behind the desk is speechless that the Drop In bus is wanting a spot to stay for the next week. He squeaked us in and proceeded to wait on us hand and foot for the length of our stay. We lucked out and went to sleep wondering what the place would look like in the morning. This is Dylan's episode. Three separate street ride sessions and an unhealthy obsession with a huge fufanu is the reason why. Steve and Tyler do their best impression of the Trailer Park Boys, Cam tries to make the best out of a shady situation helping the local long-hairs groom their local dirt pile into an actual jumpable jump. Steve thought he had the stunt of the week again when Dylan finally nailed what became an obsession and took 6 flat tires to do. You'll have to watch to see who came out with the Stunt of the week. Even though we showed up with no idea what we were going to be able to accomplish we ended up staying for 5 days and the episode turned out sweet. Goes to show that if you go exploring there's no telling what you'll find and if there's a scene in Prince Rupert of all places there's a scene everywhere now.
