My friend Jayaram has just launched India's first balance bike called 'BrilRider' and gifted a piece for my nephew, Rohan. Its amazing how Rohan has picked up a very important gross motor skill of balancing in just 3 days. He has been cycling with 2 other cycles (picked up on his 3rd & 4th birthday) with trainer wheels for quite some time. However the moment we removed the trainer wheels, he felt very insecure in-spite of me holding the cycle from behind and running along with him. The height of the seat and the handle of BrilRider is easily adjustable and can be used for babies from the time they start walking steadily upto 5 years. BrilRider is so light that even 2 year olds can easily carry it with them. Rohan is loving this new toy and learning to balance in the most natural way. Instead of getting tricycles that hinder the child in learning the art of balancing; I strongly recommend this toy for all toddlers.
