Atomic is giving you the chance to win Jossi Wells’ skis - and not just his skis, but the skis he used at the X-Games this year (signed by JW himself). All you gotta do is show Atomic what you can do with a pair of their skis (whatever that means)… my guess is they’re looking for funny photography or artwork that has something to do with Atomics. Just send your entry (and contact info) into atomicfreeskiing@gmail.com before May 15, and the shred sticks could be yours! |

Attention Ladies: Muddbunnies Riding Club has just announced their next mountain biking clinic!
Prepare yourself for the season ahead, and sign up for one of these three hour sessions designed for the beginner rider aged 19 years and older. The first two hours consist of a skills session. In the final hour hone your new skills on the trails of Burnaby Mountain. The session will focus on skills training, balance, body/bike separation, overall fitness, first aid, trail etiquette and ’spotting the perfect line’. This is a women’s only clinic, taught by our experienced rider and NCCP certified coach, Sherri Sadler. The atmosphere is fun and supportive.
Time: 9am - noon Cost: $50/clinic (additional insurance required for non-muddbunnies riding club members) Gear: Helmet, full finger gloves, warm clothing, water, and snack. Leg/arm pads are optional. Front/Dual suspension bike in good working order. |

Ryan Decenzo is one of the most-heard names in skateboarding these days, and with good reason. Why, you ask? Well, maybe it’s his slew of podium finishes at numerous contests in the last year - 1st place DC Nationals, 1st Place Tampa Am, 3rd Place Globe Slaughter at the Opera, to name a few. Maybe it’s because he’s one of a set of hella talented brothers - little bro Scott “Scooter” is killing it as well. Or maybe it’s because despite all the hype, he’s one of the most down-to-earth guys around - staying true to his roots and refusing to get caught up in the scene. I grew up in Delta, a suburb of Vancouver, and went to the same elementary and high schools as Ryan. Nine times out of ten, on any given day, you could find him and Scooter in their parents’ driveway, skating their mini ramp. Now, years later, the Decenzo boys still manage meet up once every couple weeks to shred. By Leah Poulton
